Mr.Rakshit serves as the CEO of Sarala Welfare Society and MD of Sarala Development & Microfinance Pvt. Ltd. He has done his Masters in Commerce, also holds an MBA, and associated at different corporates while handling the roles in Finance and Accounts before establishing the institution. He has been the mainstay of Sarala with visionary leadership and people management skills, he was able to build a solid workforce for the organisation. Mr. Rakshit has served at the Board of SaDhan, one of the RBI appointed SROs for the microfinance
sector.

Mr. Singha is a Microfinance Expert having 15 years rich experience working into different verticals like Business, Risk, Credit, Product & Strategy across different parts of the country, a few being Credit Manager at Ujjivan Financial Services, State Head at L& T Microfinance, Credit and Risk Head at SVCreditline Pvt Ltd. and Zonal Head – Business at Spandana Sphoorthy Financial Services. In his last assignment as Lead – Rural Lending at Atyati Technologies, he has managed a FI Network of 6000+ CSPs of all leading Banks including Microfinance. He is a MBA specialised in Finance from University of Pune, Batch 2008.

Mr. Rohit Kumar Singh is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), a Law Graduate from Utkal University, a Master in Business Policy & Corporate Governance and Commerce graduate from Calcutta University.He is associated with Sarala since 2015 and has acquired experience in Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, Listing Compliance, Fund Raising Compliances and RBI related matters.He has around 8 years of experience in the Secretarial & Legal Compliance pertaining to NBFCs more specifically in MFI’ and he acts as an advisor to the Board of Directors and Senior Management on good governance practices and regulatory compliances.

A result-oriented professional with +12 years of experience in the gamut of accounting and finance operation entailing preparation & maintenance of statutory books of accounts, dealing with Auditors, filing of various statutory returns, providing guidance on tax assessments / scrutiny / cases and preparation of various MIS reports, Mrs. Roma Saha is presently leading the Accounts Department and is responsible for supervising, tracking and evaluating day-to-day accounting activities of the Company and also assisting the Financial Management team as and when required by providing various financial data. She is responsible for preparing and analysing monthly/ quarterly, half-yearly accounts of the Company and its associate entities for periodical reporting and presenting it before the Directors of the Company as and when required.

Mr. Bhanja has an extensive field-based knowledge of more than a decade while working with Sarala. One of the oldest team members of Sarala, he began his career as Front-line staff and with his hard work and learning appetite, has reached to a position where he leads a team and guides them to manage operations with proper conduct and matching regulatory standards. He coordinates with other departments for quick flow of information and updates the management with field level updates and outcomes for strategic decision-making purposes.

Mr. Banerjee has been associated with Sarala for more than a decade now and is efficiently handling the System and IT initiatives of the Company. He is keeping himself updated with changes in the industry with respect to new technologies and its applications in the microfinance systems and processes. With the strategic input from the Management, he is entrusted with the responsibilities to eliminate paper-based processes and bring in digital transformation in the organisation. He is a Commerce Graduate, Microsoft Certified Professional and pursued MBA in IT. A music and instrument enthusiast, in his spare time he likes to play guitar.

  • Mr. Avishek Bhowmick

Mr. Bhowmick is a distinguished member of the Bar Council of West Bengal and IHRCCC. He holds both MBA in Finance and LLB. With a robust 9-year career spanning various facets of auditing, he has honed his expertise in internal audit, statutory audit, and revenue audit. Mr. Bhowmick commenced his professional journey in 2015. He initially served as a Concurrent Auditor for Axis Bank with expertise extended to revenue audits at UCO Bank, where he evaluated revenue generation processes and controls. In addition, Mr. Bhowmick has experience of being a part in conducting statutory audits at prominent institutions such as PNB Bank and Tripura Grameen Bank. For the past three years, he has been an integral part of Bandhan, Konnagar as an Internal Auditor. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in evaluating and enhancing the organization’s internal controls, risk management processes, and governance structures, thereby contributing significantly to its operational efficiency and financial health.

With her extensive background as an efficient Executive Assistant and her prior experience managing a 14- member team in the Accounts Department, coupled with her in-depth understanding of internal banking operations as an internal team member at IDBI Bank, where she has gained detailed knowledge of banking procedures. Currently a Dynamic Human Resource Manager implementing effective practices and building successful and productive HR & Admin team. She has demonstrated a consistent ability to provide strategic leadership in areas such as talent acquisition, employee engagement program and organizational development & training. She has successfully streamlined HR processes, improved employee retention rates and fostered a positive work culture.
